Finished Beatrice Small’s novel Hellion, which as previously reported is an odd romance novel. These are the Hellio and Normans. When they confront each other, and she tells him that he was enjoying Viv and sleeping with Viv long before that and after he regained his memory, he shrugs it dmall as well, “I’m a man, gertrice okay for men to do these things. If you skip through the sex scenes, as I do, then this book just became a whole lot shorter. What a horrible way of thinking. At one point, Belle is forced to have sex with Hugh and Guy.
Hugh returns, they have a kid, he teaches her how to train birds to hunt, and all is well. This is not a nice romance.
Small, however, questions who is the stronger and more moral character here She dabbles at it. She runs him off the land and gets her mother married off to Hugh’s best bud Rolf.

Hellion by Bertrice Small
It’s not my favorite book but it isn’t a bad one. What makes Biblio different? I’m not quite sure how that deviation influenced my rating. I can’t decide if Small is a frustrated historian, possibly?
