Unfortunately, halfway through the story, Luke’s taking Viviann to his mother’s party in order to find suitors for her led to a series of evil machinations from Luke’s cousin that turned an otherwise wonderful romance into an annoyance. Before she even met Luke, she knew he was her last hope. Let’s be honest, she’s a hoyden. Those who were once her friends now were not allowed to talk to her, her only chance is to win the heart of the Duke of Foxhaven so that he will agree to their betrothal. That came across a bit more risque than I intended. It’s always been a perfect match for me. There was a problem filtering reviews right now.
Plus I’m mildly obsessed with historical romance, so win-win right? Nice conclusion and recommend reading. Vivian gives Luke the courage to be the man he is always meant to be.

She was rather impulsive and the situations she got herself into cracked me up. The thing is though, that as Lucas spends more time with Vivian, he may be rethinking his hasty decision. But observing proper manners when there’s no one around to impress is just silly.
I might take a look at the other books in the series too. She was a memorable heroine. According to her bio, Publisher’s Weekly has called her “fresh and romantic” with subtle humor and charm. As I said it’s a cute story, and it’s truly is a cute story.
