The Book Tripper: Looking Back by Ambeth Ocampo
A good read book! PaperbackFirst Printing92 pages. Children can also be proud of their parents, or grandparents. However, in the course of my reading Philippine literature and history books, I have encountered most of the things that Ocampo mentioned in this book.
Ambeth Ocampo is now a respected young historian in the country.

Enjoyed every bit of it. Other bac, in the series. They are well-researched and pleasing to read. For example, my classmates back then hated it. I’ll give it 4. You see, sometimes you encounter a novel with a historical event as a backdrop and that perks up your interest to know what really happened in the novel’s milieu. I was lucky enough to have Ambeth Ocampo as my Rizal Professor back in college. This is a piece of history book whom we can memorize the events that happened without batting an eyelash. Looking Lioking is history at its juiciest. Napakarami kong bagong natutunan.
This is my first Ambeth Ocampo book, and I like it. Bookbed Author May 3, at 7: Primarily because I am interested to know about what happened in the past as they are oftentimes used by my favorite and not-so-favorite authors in their works.

His wit, humor, keen observations and insights on Philippine history never fail to keep ambefh entertained and informed. Philippine History is my favorite aspect of history.
Some of us are so proud that the friend of the brother of the mother of the sister of the nanny of Taylor Swift is half Filipino, but when we hear news about protesting indigenous peoples on our own soil, we rob them of their identities and rights as fellow members of the state!
These historical figures have looking confined in our minds and classrooms as superheroes with seemingly extraordinary stature, and yet Philippine History is my favorite aspect of history. I shall read more of his books and other books on Philippine ocajpo
